Public Schools and earned a degree in Administration of Justice, dedicated her career to public service, including roles at the Public Defender Service, D.C. Superior Court, and on Capitol Hill. She was also actively involved in civic engagement, volunteering with local council members and advocating for justice.

In addition to her professional achievements, Michelle was a beloved figure in her community, known for her resilience and commitment to service, even while undergoing dialysis. She served as a substitute teacher and volunteered to teach English to immigrants, earning the affectionate nickname "Abuela" from her students. A devoted member of Israel Baptist Church, she participated in various church activities and embodied her faith through acts of generosity and compassion. Michelle is remembered for her vibrant personality, love for her family, and her many passions, leaving behind a legacy of love and service to her community. The resolution takes effect immediately.
