Mayor Muriel Bowser has submitted a request to the Council of the District of Columbia to reprogram $4,164,007.52 in Federal Payment Funds for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), specifically within the Division of Post Secondary Education. The funds are intended to support various professional services, supplies, contractual services, and equipment related to the District of Columbia Tuition Assistance Grant (DC TAG) program. The reprogramming is necessary to facilitate statutorily required testing for high school students and to support summer bridge programs and outreach campaigns for the upcoming DC TAG application cycle.

The Chief Financial Officer, Glen Lee, has reviewed the Mayor's request and confirmed that the reprogramming will not adversely impact OSSE's budget or the District's financial plan. The funds will be reallocated from government subsidies and grants to various accounts that cover supplies, professional services, contractual services, and equipment.
