The Rev. Dr. Judy Talbert Way Designation Emergency Act of 2025 aims to symbolically designate a section of Alabama Avenue, SE, between Hartford Street, SE and Gainesville Street, SE, as Rev. Dr. Judy Talbert Way. This designation is made under the authority of the Street and Alley Closing and Acquisition Procedures Act of 1982. The act is intended to honor Rev. Dr. Judy Talbert and will take effect upon approval by the Mayor, or following a Council override of a potential veto, remaining in effect for a maximum of 90 days.
