The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) has reviewed the request and confirmed that the reprogramming will not negatively impact the overall DCPS budget or the District's financial plan. Although the reprogramming amount is below the $500,000 threshold requiring Council approval, it is noted that a previous reprogramming from DCPS has already been approved, resulting in a cumulative change that exceeds this threshold. The OCFO supports the request, highlighting the importance of the funds for maintaining summer camp programs that are crucial for students' physical health and well-being. Delaying the reprogramming could lead to significant hardships for students, including potential job losses for staff and reduced access to vital programs.
