The resolution, titled the Historic Preservation Review Board Matthew Bell Confirmation Resolution of 2025, confirms the reappointment of Matthew Bell as an architect member of the Historic Preservation Review Board. This board was established by a Mayor's Order in 1983 and operates under the Historic Landmark and Historic District Protection Act of 1978. Bell's new term will last until July 21, 2028.

Upon adoption of the resolution, a copy will be sent to both the nominee, Matthew Bell, and the Mayor of the District of Columbia. The resolution is effective immediately following its passage by the Council.
