The resolution, titled the Board of Library Trustees Maria Peace Confirmation Resolution of 2025, confirms the reappointment of Maria Peace to the Board of Library Trustees in the District of Columbia. This appointment is in accordance with the provisions established by the Act to maintain a free public library and reading room in the District, originally approved in 1896. Maria Peace, a resident of Ward 7, will serve a term that extends until January 5, 2030.

Upon adoption of the resolution, a copy will be transmitted to both the nominee, Maria Peace, and the Mayor of the District of Columbia. The resolution is set to take effect immediately following its adoption by the Council.
