The nomination is in accordance with the Confirmation Act of 1978 and the District of Columbia Health Occupations Revisions Act of 1985.
The proposed resolution confirms Dr. Owens' appointment to the Board of Integrative Healthcare, which was established to oversee the integration of various healthcare practices, including acupuncture and chiropractic care. The resolution emphasizes the Council's support for her appointment and outlines the process for confirmation. Upon adoption, a copy of the resolution will be transmitted to both the nominee and the Office of the Mayor, and it will take effect immediately.
