Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested the reprogramming of $750,000 in FY 2025 Capital Funds from the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) to facilitate improvements at the Roosevelt High School Pool. The Department of General Services (DGS) will oversee the implementation of this project. The funds are available for reallocation as they remain unspent from DPR's Swimming Pool Replacement project.

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) has reviewed the request and confirmed that the reprogramming will not negatively impact the budgets of either DPR or DCPS, nor will it affect the District's overall financial plan. The OCFO has raised no objections to the transfer, which aims to ensure proper budget allocation for expense tracking. The resolution is now awaiting favorable action from the Council, reflecting a collaborative effort to manage the District's financial resources effectively.
