The bill titled "Modification Nos. 2 and 3 to Contract NFPHC-NUR-23-C-00039 between Not-for-Profit Hospital Corporation and Aya Healthcare, Inc. Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Act of 2025" seeks to approve emergency modifications to an existing contract between the Not-for-Profit Hospital Corporation, known as United Medical Center, and Aya Healthcare, Inc. The modifications aim to provide supplemental nursing staffing and authorize payments totaling $5.7 million for option year one and $1.2 million for option year two, despite the usual procurement requirements outlined in the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010.
