The On-Premises and On-Site Extended Hours Program Amendment Act of 2025 amends section 25-723 of the District of Columbia Official Code to permit the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board to extend the hours of operation, sales, service, and consumption of alcoholic beverages for specific events. These events include cultural, sporting, or tourism-related gatherings, allowing licensees registered with the Board to operate until 4:00 a.m. and maintain 24-hour operations during these occasions. To qualify for the extended hours, licensees must register with the Board, pay a minimum fee of $100, and provide written notice at least three days prior to the event.

Additionally, the Board is required to notify the Metropolitan Police Department 48 hours before the extended hours take effect and to publish notice of these changes in the District of Columbia Register and on the ABC's website. The fees collected from this program will be deposited into the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration Fund. The act defines cultural events, sporting events, and tourism-related events to clarify the types of gatherings eligible for extended hours. The resolution will take effect following approval by the Mayor and a 30-day congressional review period.
