17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Board of Funeral Directors Kasey Martin Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2024" .
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

Kasey Martin
Ms. Kasey Martin is a licensed and experienced Funeral Director in
Washington, D.C., currently working as the manager and director of
Universal II Mortuary. Universal II Mortuary offers Islamic funeral
services for the District’s Muslim community. She is also the founder
of Universal Flowers, where she crafts floral arrangements for events
and services.
A Ward 5 resident, Ms. Martin earned her Associate of Applied Science
in Mortuary Science from John Tyler Community College and her
Bachelor of Science in Clothing and Textiles from the North Carolina
Agricultural and Technical State University.
