19 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
20 resolution may be cited as the “Commission on Health Equity Yvonne Garces Appointment
21 Resolution of 2024”.

23 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia appoints:

29 as a nonvoting Ward 8 community advisory member of the Commission on Health Equity,
30 established by section 5043(c)(1)(B)ofthe Commission on Health Equity Amendment Act of
31 2016, effective October 8, 2016 (D.C. Law 21-160; D.C. Official Code § 7-756.01(c)(1)(B)),
32 replacing Maranda Ward, to serve at the pleasure of the Council.
33 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copyofthis resolution,
34 upon its adoption, to the appointee, the chairperson ofthe Commission, and to the Office of the
35 Mayor.
36 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
