19 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
20 resolution may be cited as the “Commission on Health Equity Kimberly Burrowes Appointment
21 Resolution of 2024”.

23 Sec. 2. The Councilofthe District of Columbia appoints:

29 as a voting memberofthe Commission on Health Equity, established by section 5043ofthe
30 Commission on Health Equity Amendment Act of 2016, effective October 8, 2016 (D.C. Law
31 21-160; D.C. Official Code § 7-756.01), replacing Dr. Christopher King, to serve a 3-year term
32 to end July 7, 2027.
33 Sec. 3. The Councilofthe District of Columbiashall transmit
a copyofthis resolution,
34 upon its adoption, to the appointee, the chairperson of the Commission, and to the Officeof the
35 Mayor.
36 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
KIMBERLY N. BURROWES
CAREER BIO
Kimberly Burrowes is a training and technical assistance senior manager with the Research to Action Lab at the Urban Institute,
where she plans, coordinates, and delivers training and technical assistance in close consultation with local government agencies
and nonprofits. She anchors her technical assistance work in high-quality evidence, bringing the expertise of Urban Institute
scholars directly to community change-makers tackling policy challenges. Her research has focused on advancing racial equity
in parks and public spaces, practices and policies for affordable housing solutions, and participatory engagement.
