17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Real Estate Commission Joseph Borger Confirmation Resolution
19 of 2024".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Joseph Borger
Mr. Joseph E. Borger, CPM, has been a principal of Borger
Management, Inc. since 1983, and assumed the role of President in
2009. He received his Certified Property Management (CPM)
designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in
1982, was awarded Manager of the Year in 1989, and served as the
President of the Greater Metropolitan Washington Chapter in 1991. In
1993, he served as the President of the DC Association of Realtors and
was awarded Realtor of the Year in 1996.
Mr. Borger has been active in legislative and political issues related to
housing and real estate matters, serving on various committees such as
the Mayor’s Advisory Commission of Fire Safety and Fire Protection. He is a managing member
of the Real Estate Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) and serves on the Task Force Committee
for the DC Real Estate Commission. He is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia,
Maryland, and Virginia. Mr. Borger served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St.
John’s College High School and The San Miguel School, both located in Washington, DC. Mr.
Borger has been involved in the renovation and repositioning of numerous retail and commercial
properties including strip shopping centers, historic commercial townhouses, office buildings, and
mixed use residential properties in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
A Ward 3 resident, Mr. Borger attended the University of Maryland and American University.
