17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Board of Funeral Directors Asanti D. Williams Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2024".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Asanti D. Williams
Ms. Asanti D. Williams is a licensed funeral director at Pope Funeral
Home, Inc. with over 20 years of experience in the field and a current
member of the Board of Funeral Directors.
Ms. Williams has worked with several funeral homes in the District
and has contributed to or volunteered for outreach programs that help
DC youth. She began pursuing a career in the funeral services field
in 1994 as a student of Mortuary Science. Throughout her career,
Ms. Williams has taken on increasing levels of responsibility while
remembering the importance of a customer-centered approach.
A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Williams earned her degree in Mortuary
Science from the University of the District of Columbia.
