17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Board of Funeral Directors John R. McGuire Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2024".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

John R. McGuire
Mr. John R. McGuire is the Vice President and Funeral Director of McGuire
Funeral Service, Inc.
Having over 35 years of experience as a Funeral Director, he brings vast
knowledge and expertise. In 2012, the company celebrated its 100th
anniversary.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the
National Funeral Directors Association, awarded Mr. McGuire with the
Certified Disaster Coordinator designation for completing the in-residence
training course. He is also a certified West Virginia Death Investigator.
A Ward 4 resident, Mr. McGuire earned his Associate of Arts in Mortuary Science from the
University of the District of Columbia.
