17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Commission on Poverty Daryl R. Wright Confirmation
19 Resolution of 2024".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

Daryl R. Wright
Mr. Daryl R. Wright is the Vice President of Emergency Services at
So Others Might Eat.
His passion for community and service to vulnerable and
disadvantaged populations spreads over three decades. During his
career he has managed programs in the arts, the foster care system,
medical and mental health services, and educational financing. He is
currently responsible for the strategic leadership of multiple
programs addressing poverty, hunger, and essential services.
A native Washingtonian, he currently serves on the Board of the
Better Way Program Recovery Support Services and the HOPE
Foundation Reentry Network.
A Ward 4 resident, Mr. Wright earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from South Carolina
State University.
