17 RESOL YEO, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
18 resolution may be cited as the "District of Columbia Board of Elections James Caleb Boggs, III
19 Confirmation Resolution of 2024".

31 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,

reputation as a trusted advisor to Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. While there, he helped draft
the landmark Riegle-Neal Interstate Banking and Branching Efficiency Actand the bipartisan Lobbying
Disclosure Act of 1995. He was later appointed by President George W. Bushto asix-year termas U.S.
representative to the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. Earlier in his
career, J.C. worked for the Delaware Court ofChancery, the Hong Kong Attorney General’s Office and an
international law firm based in Sydney, Australia,
J.C. is active with a number of non-profit organizations and serves on the boards of The Catholic University of
America Columbus School of Law, the Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum, the Global Center for Social
Entrepreneurship and the First State Fintech Lab. He previously servedas chairman of Jobs for Delaware
Graduates and continues as pro bono General Counsel to Jobs for America’s Graduates. Healsoestablished the
J. Caleb Boggs Scholarship for Public Service at the University of Delaware in honor of his grandfather and
namesake, former U.S. Congressman, Senator and Governor of Delaware, J. Caleb Bogg:
Born in Washington, DC. J.C. spent his formative years in Wilmin on, Delaware, He started his legal career as
a judicial law clerk to then-Vice ChancellorCarolyn Berger of the Delaware Chancery Court. He also worked
for two U.S, Senators from Delaware -William V. Roth, Jr. and Joseph R. Biden, Jr
J.C. enjoys openwater swimming and was recognized in the Washington Post for swimming competitively in
all $0 states. Heisalso acertified ski instructor. J.C. and his wife, Bhavana (also an attomey at Marriott, live
in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C. They have one daughter, Katherine, who recently
graduated from the University ofChicago.
