17 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that this
18 resolution may be cited as the "Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board David Meadows
19 Confirmation Resolution of 2024".
20 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

29 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
30 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
31 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

David Meadows
Mr. David Meadows has an extensive history working in D.C. government
and activism, having served in various capacities for 28 years. Mr. Meadows
most recently served as the Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to
Councilmember Anita Bonds, where he helped lead the Councilmember’s
office and served as the point of contact for many businesses, nonprofits, and
community members, assisting them in navigating District government.
Mr. Meadows also served as the Executive Director of the D.C. Democratic
Party, where he led the party during the first Obama campaign and the
president’s subsequent first term. Working in D.C. politics and with District Council for much of
his career, Mr. Meadows has also worked with international unions. Mr. Meadows is very active
in LGBTQ community advocacy at the local and national level and is considered a respected leader
in his community.
A Ward 8 resident, Mr. Meadows earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Southern
Maryland.
