15 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
16 resolution may be cited as the "Board of Optometry Dr. LaMia Jones Confirmation Resolution of
17 2023".

19 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

26 as an optometrist licensed in the District member of the Board of Optometry, pursuant to section
27 207 of the District of Columbia Health Occupations Revision Act of 1985, effective March 25,
28 1986 (D.C. Law 6-99; D.C. Official Code§ 3-1202.07), for a term to end November 10, 2024.
29 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
30 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
31 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

LaMia Jones
Dr. LaMia Jones is a licensed Optometrist and Owner of Novi Eye
Associates, LLC. She also serves as a current member on the Board of
Optometry.
Dr. Jones previously worked as the Clinical and Executive Director of
TLC Vision Annapolis where she was responsible for educating and
evaluating patients, along with training all clinical staff. After serving
in this position for ten years, Dr. Jones decided to focus her advanced
clinical knowledge and business expertise on establishing her own
private practice.
