17 To amend, on an emergency basis, Title IX of the Fiscal Year 1997 Budget Support Act of 1996
18 to require the District Department of Transportation to publish automated traffic
19 enforcement system assessment worksheets on its website for the public to access.

21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this act may
22 be cited as the “Automated Traffic Enforcement Worksheet Public Accessibility Emergency
23 Amendment Act of 2023”.
24 Sec. 2. Title IX of the Fiscal Year 1997 Budget Support Act of 1996, effective April 9,
25 1997 (D.C. Law 11-198; D.C. Official Code § 50-2209.01 et seq.), is amended by adding a new
26 section 906 is added to read as follows:
27 “Sec. 906. ATE Assessment Worksheet Publication.
28 (a) The District Department of Transportation (“Department”) shall make unedited copies
29 of all completed automated traffic enforcement assessment worksheets available on its website
30 for the public to access and view, regardless of whether the Department chose to install
31 automated traffic enforcement at a location.”.
32 Sec. 3. Fiscal impact statement.
33 The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement in the committee report as the
34 fiscal impact statement required by section 602(c)(3) of the District of Columbia Home Rule
35 Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 813; D.C. Official Code § 1-206.02(c)(3)).
36 Sec. 4. Effective date.
37 This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the
38 Mayor, action by the Council to override the veto), a 30-day period of congressional review as
39 provided in section 602(c)(1) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December
40 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 813; D.C. Official Code § 1-206.02(c)(1)), and publication in the District of
41 Columbia Register.
