Dear Chairman Mendelson:
Lam transmitting a request to reprogram $$18,674,814 of Fiscal Year 2020 Local funds budget
authority within the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). Reprogramming Policy Act
of 1980, D.C. Official Code 47-363(a) and the Further Continuing Appropriations Act,
2020, approved November 21, 2019 (P.L. 116-69), | am submitting this request as required. 1
have also submitted this request to the Chief Financial Officer for certification that funds are
available for this reprogramming.
This action will reprogram budget authority within DCPS Schools and Schoolwide divisions,
among multiple Comptroller Source Groups. This reprogramming is needed to ensure that
DCPS budget is properly aligned to accommodate reporting changes within organizations
Funds are available in DCPS budget based on the original appropriations, but funding requires a
reallocation to meet programmatic needs and requirements.

Pursuant to the Reprogramming Policy Act of 1980, D.C. Official Code 47-363(a) and the

The Office of Budget and Plannings analysis indicates that the reprogramming will not have an
adverse impact on DCPS budget or the Districts financial plan. The OCFO has no objection to
this reprogramming request.
