Senate Bill No. 721, also known as Public Act No. 25-20, amends section 10-29a of the general statutes to establish June 12th of each year as National Women Veterans Recognition Day. The bill mandates that the Governor shall proclaim this day to honor the significant contributions of women who have served in the United States armed forces.

The new legal language inserted into the statute includes subdivision (118), which outlines the observance of this day and allows for suitable exercises to be held at the State Capitol and other designated locations by the Governor. There are no deletions from current law associated with this bill. The act was approved on June 9, 2025.
