AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY TO COMBAT
OPIOID ABUSE AND ADDICTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That the general statutes be amended to require the use of certain
2 technology to modernize prescription drug records and better track the
3 possession of opioid drugs, mandate an increase in security in and
4 around the location of manufacturers and distributors of opioid drugs
5 and warehouses where opioid drugs are stored and enhance civil
6 penalties for failure to track possession of opioid drugs and to have
7 proper security in place in and around such locations and warehouses.
Statement of Purpose:
To combat opioid use and addiction.
