REASONS FOR BILL:
To make technical changes to a statute concerning housing.

NATURE AND SOURCES OF SUPPORT:
Mary-Ann Langton, Resident: Langton supports SB-190 because it would allow those who
need special accommodations to access buildings. This would also allow those individuals to
purchase new homes without the worry of limited access.
Susan Salters, Resident, Manchester: Salters supports SB-190. She states that the
population of Connecticut is aging rapidly and soon the majority of the population will soon be
in the 65+ age group. By adding regulations on houses to accommodate for those who have
limited movement it would allow the older population to live in their own houses and would
call upon the limited retirement homes that Connecticut does have.
