Existing law requires the Director of Public Health to establish a statewide system for the collection of information determining the incidence of cancer, known as the Ken Maddy California Cancer Registry. Existing law sets forth the dates by which, among other things, the statewide cancer reporting system is required to be fully operational and the deadline by which the director is required to submit an implementation and funding schedule to the Legislature.
