Existing law requires that any offense declared to be a misdemeanor for which no punishment is specified is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed 6 months, by a fine not to exceed $1,000, or by both that fine and imprisonment.
This bill would decrease the amount of the fine to $500.
