This bill proposes to amend Arizona Revised Statutes by adding a new section that mandates the attorney general to establish policies aimed at limiting state assistance with immigration enforcement in specific public facilities. These facilities include public schools, community colleges, universities, licensed day care centers, public libraries, courts, and publicly funded medical treatment centers. The policies must ensure these locations remain safe and accessible to all residents, regardless of immigration status, and must incorporate constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Additionally, the bill requires that any application, questionnaire, or interview form used by state agencies or educational institutions that includes questions about citizenship or immigration status must have those questions removed within sixty days of the bill's effective date. The bill also defines "immigration enforcement" to encompass various actions related to civil and federal immigration laws. If enacted, this legislation would create what is termed the "Immigration Safe Zones Act."
