This bill proposes to update current statutes regarding the Arizona Beef Council by continuing its existence for an additional eight years, retroactively effective from July 1, 2026, until July 1, 2034. Additionally, the bill includes Title 3, chapter 11, article 2 and this section are repealed on January 1, 2035. This means that the Council will be dissolved after the specified date unless further legislative action is taken. The bill also emphasizes the Council's role as a self-financed program aimed at marketing and expanding the beef industry, as stated in Pursuant to section 41–2955, subsection B, Arizona Revised Statutes, the legislature continues the Arizona beef council as a self-financed program to help market, develop, maintain and expand the state, national and foreign markets for beef and beef products produced, processed or manufactured in this state.
