This bill proposes to amend current statutes by adding a new section (41-3956) that specifically addresses the operation of homeless service providers engaging in "mixed hoteling." Under the new provisions, these providers, along with building supervisors and owners, are required to post clear signage at all entrances and exits, as well as near the reception desk, informing guests that the establishment houses homeless individuals alongside the general public. The signage must adhere to specific formatting guidelines, including font size and color, and must also be displayed on any relevant booking websites. Additionally, guests must receive a printed form detailing the mixed hoteling arrangement before checking in, with the option for a full refund if they object to the arrangement.

Furthermore, the bill stipulates that state or local funds cannot be utilized for mixed hoteling operations. It also defines "mixed hoteling" as the provision of shelter services to homeless individuals while simultaneously offering hotel services to the general public within the same premises. The current law remains unchanged in other respects, ensuring that the new requirements are clearly delineated from existing statutes.
