If enacted, this bill would amend current statutes by adding a new section to the Arizona Revised Statutes that mandates county detention facilities to provide specific personal identifying information of individuals arrested for certain offenses to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (U.S. ICE) upon request. The information required includes the individual's name, address, date of birth, gender, and social security number, as well as a photograph and other physical descriptors. Additionally, the bill stipulates that county detention facilities must grant U.S. ICE access to interview the arrested individuals.

The bill also specifies that county detention facilities are required to comply with any requests made by U.S. ICE, with certain exemptions. These exemptions apply to facilities where a U.S. ICE agent is stationed or where an employee is authorized by U.S. ICE to conduct immigration screenings. Furthermore, the bill defines "county detention facility" as any location used by a county sheriff's office for the confinement of individuals arrested for the specified offenses, which include burglary, theft, larceny, shoplifting, assault on a law enforcement officer, and any offense resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
