This bill proposes updates to section 23-318 of the Arizona Revised Statutes concerning the authority of wage boards. The current law allows the chairman of a wage board to administer oaths and issue subpoenas, which are currently signed and served as if they were from the superior courts. The bill would replace the term "courts" with "court" to clarify that the subpoenas are issued from the superior court.

Additionally, the bill modifies the enforcement of subpoenas by specifying that obedience to subpoenas issued by the wage board shall be enforced in the superior court of the county where the subpoena is issued, rather than simply stating "of" the superior courts. It also clarifies that depositions of witnesses can be taken in the manner prescribed for civil actions in the superior court, replacing the plural "courts" with the singular "court."
