If enacted, this bill would amend current statutes by adding a new section to Title 15, Chapter 2, Article 2 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) would be required to compile and publish on its website information regarding the importance of water safety education courses and swimming lessons, as well as a list of local providers offering these services, including those that are free or at a reduced cost. This information must be made available before the 2025-2026 school year.

Additionally, starting in the 2025-2026 school year, each school district and charter school would be mandated to provide the webpage address containing this information to parents upon their initial enrollment of a child. The bill also defines a "water safety course" as age-appropriate education aimed at promoting safety around bodies of water and reducing the risk of drowning.
