This resolution is a formal expression of condolence from the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona on the death of Amy Sue Bhola, who passed away on March 28, 2024. Amy was a cherished member of the Tucson community, known for her dedication to public education, having served as a middle school teacher and a volunteer leader, including a position on the Catalina Foothills School District Governing Board of Directors. Her commitment to supporting students and teachers was evident in her tireless efforts to enhance the quality of public education in Arizona.
Amy was also an active participant in various community organizations, such as the Junior League, Chi Omega Fraternity, and the Silver & Turquoise Board of Hostesses, contributing to Tucson's culture and heritage. Despite being diagnosed with glioblastoma in November 2021, she bravely participated in a drug trial that will benefit future cancer research. Amy is survived by her husband, Khush, her children, Lily and Mason, and numerous friends who will continue her legacy of love and community service. The resolution, unanimously adopted by the House on April 10, 2024, extends the members' deepest sympathies to Amy's family and friends.
