The resolution honors the Arizona State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their extensive community service and commitment to patriotism, education, and historic preservation since the establishment of their first chapter in 1901. With over 3,000 members across 42 chapters, the organization has actively participated in initiatives such as Wreaths Across America, where they sponsored more than 2,500 wreaths in 2022 to honor veterans, and raised nearly $40,000 to support Honor Flights for veterans traveling to Washington, D.C. Additionally, they have contributed to local education by providing grants for music programs and volunteering in classrooms.

The resolution also highlights the DAR's support for the Native American community through donations and protective equipment during the pandemic, as well as their involvement in memorial services for fallen military heroes. Their efforts in historic preservation include funding markers to educate the public about significant historical sites and contributions of minority service members. The Arizona Legislature unanimously adopted this resolution to recognize the dedication of the DAR and its State Regent, Sallie Beraud Lovorn, for their impactful work in the state.
