The resolution recognizes the Arkansas Tech University Robotics Club for their outstanding achievements at the 2025 Texas State VEX U Tournament, where they won both the Tournament Champion and Innovate Awards. The tournament took place on February 21-22, 2025, in Houston, Texas, and the club stood out among fifteen competing teams, with only two others receiving multiple awards. Their success is attributed to their innovative design process, which was documented in an Engineering Notebook, and their ability to program the robot for an autonomous segment of the competition. This victory has also secured the club an invitation to compete in the VEX U World Championship for the third consecutive year, a prestigious opportunity awarded to only twenty-four U.S.-based universities.

The resolution highlights the dedication and hard work of the club members, who collectively invested over 10,000 hours in building, programming, and piloting their robots. The team is led by club president Hunter Mathis and includes various members from different cities in Arkansas. The club's sponsors, Jacob Weidenfeller and Steve Ward, played a crucial role in guiding the team. Upon adoption of the resolution, a copy will be presented to Weidenfeller, acknowledging the club's accomplishments and contributions to robotics education and competition.
