The bill amends Arkansas law to permit warrantless searches by law enforcement officers of individuals placed on suspended imposition of sentence, in addition to those on probation, parole, or post-release supervision. Specifically, it modifies Arkansas Code 16-93-106 to include the phrase "person placed on suspended imposition of sentence" and emphasizes that individuals under these conditions must agree to a waiver allowing such searches. The searches can be conducted at any time without the need for an articulable suspicion of criminal activity, provided they are executed in a reasonable manner.

Furthermore, the bill stipulates that individuals who are to be placed on supervised probation, suspended imposition of sentence, parole, or post-release supervision must acknowledge and sign the waiver to be eligible for these programs. If they refuse to sign, they will be deemed ineligible for placement in these categories. The definition of "residence" is also expanded to include garages or outbuildings on the property.
