The resolution congratulates the students of Murfreesboro High School for their outstanding achievements in the Girl Power Goes State! competition, which focuses on encouraging female high school students in Arkansas to engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields through the use of Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) technology. The regional event, held on February 13, 2025, at National Park College Career Academy, showcased the students' abilities to design and build projects using CNC metal, wood, and laser machines. The top five projects were all created by Murfreesboro High School students, with Chloe Beck winning first place, followed by Addison Cox in second, and Lillie Mays, Adyson James, and Gracie Goodwin sharing third place.

The resolution highlights the support and guidance provided by educator Blake Simmons and acknowledges the school's commitment to expanding its workshop capabilities to facilitate even more ambitious projects in the future. Murfreesboro High School has received a grant to purchase a laser and plans to add additional CNC equipment, which will benefit all students by providing access to advanced technology and instruction. This initiative aims to equip students with valuable skills that can lead to high-demand, high-wage job opportunities in Southwest Arkansas. The Senate expresses its pride in the students' accomplishments and looks forward to their continued success.
