Despite facing significant challenges due to a progressive vision loss caused by Multiple Mitochondrial Gene Deletion Syndrome, she has excelled in her sport, winning a gold medal in the women's 400-meter freestyle S13 at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, along with two silver medals in other events. Additionally, she holds multiple American and world records in Para Swimming and has earned numerous accolades throughout her athletic career.

Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Olivia is also a dedicated student, currently attending the University of Northern Iowa with a double major in biology and psychology. The resolution highlights her academic achievements, including being named to the Missouri Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete Team and receiving various honors for her courage and performance in swimming competitions. The Senate of the Ninety-Fifth General Assembly of Arkansas aims to honor Olivia's remarkable gifts and achievements by adopting this resolution and presenting her with a copy.
