The resolution honors Olivia Chambers, a Paralympic medalist from Little Rock, Arkansas, for her exceptional achievements in swimming and her contributions to the state's reputation. Olivia began her swimming journey at the age of four and quickly made a name for herself by breaking state records. Despite facing significant challenges due to a progressive vision loss caused by Multiple Mitochondrial Gene Deletion Syndrome, she has excelled in her sport, winning a gold medal in the women's 400-meter freestyle S13 at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, along with two silver medals in other events. Additionally, she holds multiple American and world records in Para Swimming and has been recognized as a champion at various national and international competitions.

Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Olivia is also a dedicated student, currently attending the University of Northern Iowa with a double major in biology and psychology. She has received numerous academic accolades, including being named to the Missouri Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete Team and earning the Most Courageous Award. The resolution concludes by expressing the Senate's recognition of Olivia's remarkable gifts and achievements, which not only bring honor to her but also to the state of Arkansas. A copy of the resolution will be presented to her by the Secretary of the Senate upon its adoption.
