This bill amends the Special License Plate Act of 2005 to authorize the issuance and renewal of a special license plate specifically for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid South. The new section, designated as 27-24-1433, outlines the creation and design of the license plate, which will be developed by the Department of Finance and Administration in consultation with the foundation. The issuance of this plate will require a registration fee, a design-use contribution of $30 that will be directed to the foundation, and a handling and administrative fee of $10, which will support the Revenue Division of the Department of Finance and Administration. Additionally, the bill stipulates that the fees collected for renewals will also be remitted to the Make-A-Wish Foundation on a monthly basis.

Furthermore, the bill addresses the inventory of the Mid-South Community College education special license plate by prohibiting the Department of Finance and Administration from printing or acquiring additional plates. The existing plates will remain available for issuance and renewal until the current supply is exhausted, after which the plate will be considered repealed for certain legal purposes. This change aims to streamline the special license plate offerings while supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation's mission.
