Sherry graduated from the St. Edward Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1967 and has worked in various medical fields, including pediatrics, internal medicine, and as a school nurse. After taking time off to raise her two sons, she returned to nursing in 1997, working part-time at the CHI St. Vincent Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic until 2022, and concluded her career at the H. Elvin Shuffield Capitol Infirmary during legislative sessions from 2015 to 2024.

The resolution highlights Sherry's extensive experience and commitment to the health and well-being of the citizens of Arkansas.
