8 TO RECOGNIZE THE HARDING ACADEMY FOOTBALL TEAM AS THE

17 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
18 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

20 WHEREAS, Harding Academy bested Rivercrest to take the Class 4A state
21 football title with a score of 43-35 at War Memorial Stadium in Little
22 Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday, December 9, 2023; and
23
24 WHEREAS, the win earned Harding Academy the tenth state championship in
25 the team's history; and
26
27 WHEREAS, Owen Miller was named the 4A State Title Game Most Valuable
28 Player for his performance of three hundred sixty-four (364) yards of passing
29 and four (4) touchdowns; and
30
31 WHEREAS, Harding Academy finished the season with a perfect 15-0
32 record,

34 NOW THEREFORE,
35 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
36 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

2 THAT the Senate congratulates and recognizes the Harding Academy
3 football team as the Class 4A state champions.

5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy be
6 provided to Head Coach Neil Evans by the Secretary of the Senate.
