22 WHEREAS, the Pulaski Academy boys' and girls' tennis teams dominated
23 the state tennis tournament in October 2023, with both teams taking home
24 Class 5A titles; and
25
26 WHEREAS, with this state championship win, the Pulaski Academy boys'
27 tennis team gained its eighth title in nine (9) years; and
28
29 WHEREAS, the Pulaski Academy girls' tennis team also achieved
30 remarkable success, making this their fifth title in a row; and

32 WHEREAS, Pulaski Academy's Michael Homsi won the Class 5A boys' single
33 title; and

35 WHEREAS, the Class 5A boys' double title went to Pulaski Academy's
36 Brandon Nguyen and Nico Duina; and

2 WHEREAS, Pulaski Academy's Danna Homsi and Jaymie Angtuaco took home
3 the Class 5A girls' double title; and

5 WHEREAS, the Pulaski Academy 2023 Class 5A state championship tennis
6 teams include Brandon Nguyen, Niccolo Duina, Eric Nguyen, Seth Harrison,
7 Oscar Wang, Michael Homsi, Jaymie Angtuaco, Danna Homsi, Shallya Anand, Addy
8 Minton, Faith Chi, and Luci Hudson; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the success of the Pulaski Academy boys' and girls' tennis
11 teams are due not only to the athleticism, hard work, and dedication of their
12 players but also to the excellent coaching of coaches Bill Topich and Todd
13 Dunn,

15 NOW THEREFORE,
16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

19 THAT the House of Representatives recognize and congratulate the
20 Pulaski Academy boys' and girl's tennis teams as the Class 5A State
21 Champions.

23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy be
24 provided to coaches Bill Topich and Todd Dunn by the Chief Clerk of the House
25 of Representatives.
