8 TO HONOR THE LIFE OF BILLY ROGERS, PASTOR IN
9 HARRISON, ARKANSAS, FOR FIFTY-FOUR YEARS.

13 TO HONOR THE LIFE OF BILLY ROGERS,
14 PASTOR IN HARRISON, ARKANSAS, FOR FIFTY-
15 FOUR YEARS.

18 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on January 24,
19 2024, at the age of seventy-five (75); and
20
21 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers began preaching the word of the Lord at age
22 fifteen (15), and at age eighteen (18) he became a pastor; and
23
24 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers pastored at the following religious centers:
25 (1) Mincey Full Gospel Church;
26 (2) White Oak Church of God;
27 (3) Community Church; and
28 (4) Calvary Temple Full Gospel Church; and
29
30 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers preached for fifty-four (54) years until he
31 retired; and

33 WHEREAS, when Billy Rogers was not preaching, he enjoyed playing the
34 piano, watching basketball games, listening to Southern gospel music, and
35 spending time with his grandchildren; and

1 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers is survived by his wife of almost forty-seven
2 (47) years, Brenda (Snowden) Rogers, two (2) sons, and five (5)
3 grandchildren; and

5 WHEREAS, Billy Rogers' faith and dedication to spreading the word of
6 the Lord touched many lives,
7
8 NOW THEREFORE,
9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

12 THAT the House of Representatives express sincere condolences to the
13 family of Billy Rogers and commend his commitment to spreading the word of
14 the Lord for fifty-four (54) years.
15
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be
17 provided to Brenda Rogers by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives.
