The resolution recognizes the Rogers High School Lady Mounties Competitive Cheer Team for winning the 2023 Class 6A Cheer State Championship, which is their first state title after several runner-up finishes in previous years. The team, led by Coach Danielle Ross and Assistant Coach Kurston Ward, demonstrated exceptional dedication and athleticism, culminating in their participation in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship, where they achieved a national ranking of seventeenth out of fifty-nine teams.
In addition to their competitive success, the cheerleaders are acknowledged for their role in supporting school spirit and serving as positive role models within the community, with many maintaining a commendable academic performance, including a majority achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The resolution commends the hard work of the athletes, coaches, the Rogers Public School District, and the parents, and it calls for a copy of the resolution to be provided to Coach Ross upon its adoption.
