16 GIRLS SWIM AND DIVE STATE CHAMPIONS.

19 WHEREAS, the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones claimed the 2023-
20 2024 Class 5A Swim and Dive State Championship title on February 24, 2024, at
21 the Russellville Aquatic Center, securing its fourth consecutive state
22 championship title; and

24 WHEREAS, the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones swim and dive team
25 showcased its skill in the water and scored a team total of three hundred
26 fifteen (315) points; and
27
28 WHEREAS, the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones swim and dive team
29 also won its seventh straight conference championship at the 5A-West
30 Conference swim meet held in February 2024; and

32 WHEREAS, the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones swim and dive team
33 was led by Head Coach Jazz Johnston, Registered Volunteer Coach Gary Knudsen,
34 and Assistant Coach Boundy Balenko; and

36 WHEREAS, the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones fourth consecutive

1 state championship win marks the first of its kind in Russellville High

4 NOW THEREFORE,
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
6 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

8 THAT the Senate recognize the Russellville High School Lady Cyclones as
9 the 2023-2024 Class 5A Girls Swim and Dive State Champions.

11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
12 provided to Head Coach Jazz Johnston by the Secretary of the Senate.
