20 WHEREAS, the Mammoth Spring High School Lady Bears Basketball team
21 defeated the Norfork High School Lady Panthers to claim the Class 1A Girls'
22 Basketball State Championship title on March 9, 2024 at the Bank OZK Arena in
23 Hot Springs; and
24
25 WHEREAS, the 57-47 point victory marks the Mammoth Spring High School
26 Lady Bears Basketball team's second consecutive state championship win out of
27 three consecutive state championship games against the Norfork High School
28 Lady Panthers; and

30 WHEREAS, the Mammoth Spring High School Lady Bears Basketball team
31 finished the 2023-2024 season with a 40-5 record; and

33 WHEREAS, Brynn Washam earned Finals Most Valuable Player honors for the
34 second straight season with twenty-two (22) points, five (5) rebounds, three
35 (3) steals, and one (1) scoring assist; and

1 WHEREAS, players Tay Davis and Adrianna Corbett also scored in double
2 figures during the championship game; and

4 WHEREAS, the Mammoth Spring High School Lady Bears Basketball team was
5 led by Head Coach Scott Small; and
6
7 WHEREAS, the Mammoth Spring High School Lady Bears Basketball team has
8 established its winning legacy throughout the years with dedication and hard
9 work,

11 NOW THEREFORE,
12 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
13 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

15 THAT the House of Representatives recognize the Mammoth Spring High
16 School Lady Bears Basketball team as the 2023-2024 Class 1A Girls' Basketball
17 State Champions.

19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy shall of this resolution
20 shall be provided to Head Coach Scott Small by the Chief Clerk of the House
21 of Representatives.
