19           WHEREAS, the Mountain View High School Dance Team claimed the 2023
20   Arkansas Activities 1A-4A Dance Championship title winning:
21                   (1)    1st place in High Kick and Pom;
22                   (2)    2nd place in Jazz; and
23                   (3)    The Best Costume Award; and
24
25           WHEREAS, the 2023 Mountain View High School Dance Team members include:
26                   (1)    Mabry Deitrick;
27                   (2)    Josie Callahan;
28                   (3)    Michelle McDonald;
29                   (4)    Kashlee Morgan;
30                   (5)    Ella Fletcher;
31                   (6)    Raegan Turner;
32                   (7)    Emily Chitwood;
33                   (8)    Madyson Thomas;
34                   (9)    Bronwyn Clayborn;
35                   (10)    Kiley Deitrick;
36                   (11)    Jacie Gammill; and

 3        WHEREAS, Mabry Deitrick was named All State; and
 4
 5        WHEREAS, Mabry Deitrick and Josie Callahan were selected for the
 6   state's All Star Dance Team; and
 7
 8        WHEREAS, the Mountain View High School Dance Team was led by Coach
 9   Julie Turner, who was chosen to coach the state All Star Dance Team; and
10
11        WHEREAS, Coach Julie Turner has coached the varsity dance team at
12   Mountain View High School for five (5) years and has won three (3) state
13   championships and one (1) state runner-up; and
14
15        WHEREAS, this is the eighth state championship for the Mountain View
16   High School,

18   NOW THEREFORE,
19   IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE
20   OF ARKANSAS:

22        THAT the Senate recognize the Mountain View High School Dance Team as
23   the 2023 Arkansas Activities 1A-4A Dance Champions.

25   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be
26   provided to Coach Julie Turner by the Secretary of the Senate.
