20 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
21
22 WHEREAS, in 2023, Jennifer Maune was a contestant on season thirteen of
23 MasterChef: United Tastes of America, a televised cooking competition hosted
24 by British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay; and
25
26 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune is a home chef, entertainer, decorator,
27 photographer, and founder of Legacy Blog, a lifestyle blog centered around
28 motherhood, style, home living, home design, party planning, Do It Yourself
29 projects, recipes, travel, and health; and
30
31 WHEREAS, at the age of forty, Jennifer Maune earned a Technical
32 Certificate in Culinary Arts through University of Arkansas — Pulaski
33 Technical College in Little Rock, and she later obtained an Associate Degree
34 in Pastry Arts; and
35
36 WHEREAS, in May 2023, Jennifer completed an Associate Degree in

1 Culinary Arts and also spent time in France completing advanced
2 certifications at the Le Cordon Bleu Paris; and

4 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens,
5 Cottages and Bungalows Magazine, American Farmhouse Style, Country Living
6 Magazine, and At Home in Arkansas; and
7
8 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune credits the University of Arkansas of Arkansas
9 —— Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts program for teaching her the many
10 technical skills needed for the MasterChef: United Tastes of America
11 competition; and
12
13 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune worked tirelessly to advance through each stage
14 of the competition, and ultimately succeeded in becoming one of the final
15 three contestants; and
16
17 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune represented the South on the show and was
18 declared the runner-up out of twenty talented chefs selected from all across
19 the United States; and
20
21 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune took great pride in representing her hometown
22 of Little Rock and has returned to Arkansas with big dreams to support as
23 many local Arkansas companies as possible as she continues to share her
24 culinary talents; and
25
26 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune has released her own seasoning blend full of
27 her favorite spices and blended by an Arkansas-based company based in
28 Fordyce, Arkansas; and
29
30 WHEREAS, Jennifer Maune is also working on opening a restaurant in
31 Little Rock and Benton and releasing a cookbook; and
32
33 WHEREAS, Little Rock's newest star is using her new celebrity status
34 to:
35 (1) Spread the word about the food scene in Arkansas; and
36 (2) Create new opportunities for the citizens of Arkansas,

2 NOW THEREFORE,
3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

6 THAT the House of Representatives recognize Jennifer Maune for her
7 runner-up finish on MasterChef: United Tastes of America and her
8 accomplishments in the culinary industry.
9
10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution shall be
11 provided to Jennifer Maune by the Chief Clerk of the House of
12 Representatives.
