19          WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad won the 1A-2A
20   Cheer State Championship on December 15, 2023, at Bank of the Ozark Arena in
21   Hot Springs; and

23          WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad scored 74.30 in
24   the finals; and
25
26          WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad showcased its
27   talent and dedication, captivating the audience with its high-flying stunts,
28   synchronized routines, and infectious spirit; and

30          WHEREAS, in the final round, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer
31   squad posted the best scores in:
32                  (1)     Cheer (31.50); and
33                  (2)     Building (25.70); and

35          WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad was led by coach
36   Michelle Smith; and

 2        WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad owes its victory
 3   to its dedication and hard work and the unwavering support of the school's
 4   faculty and student body; and
 5
 6        WHEREAS, the Junction City Lady Dragons' cheer squad's spirited
 7   performance and dedication paid off, securing the Junction City Lady Dragons'
 8   cheer squad a well-deserved title,

10   NOW THEREFORE,
11   BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
12   ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

14        THAT the House of Representatives recognize the 2023-2024 Junction City
15   Lady Dragons' cheer squad as the 1A-2A cheer state champions.

17   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the adoption of this resolution, a copy
18   shall be provided to Coach Michelle Smith by the Chief Clerk of the House of
19   Representatives.
